U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is set to visit Manila and meet President Rodrigo Duterte next week.
The U.S. State Department announces Kerry will arrive in Manila on July 26 (Tuesday), a day after Duterte delivers his first State of the Nation Address (SONA).
State Deparment Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner says, Kerry will stay in Manila for two days to discuss with Duterte ‘a full range of cooperation’ between the United States and the Philippines.
Kerry is also set to meet Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay.
Before Kerry’s trip to Manila, he will first travel to Austria and France and join the meetings of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Laos.
