Coco Martin’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’ still on top

ABS-CBN continued to capture the hearts of Filipinos who have relied on it for comprehensive news and values-oriented shows as the Kapamilya network registered an average audience share of 42 percent in November, versus GMA’s 30 percent, according to data from Kantar Media.

 FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (34.8 percent) is still king as it remains on top of most watched programs, followed closely by The Voice Kids (34.7 percent) that ended another season on a high note.

 TV Patrol (28.9 percent) kept its position as the most watched primetime newscast, Starla (27.4 percent) climbed two spots higher, and weekend fantasy show Parasite Island (27.2 percent) secured the fifth spot.

 Completing the list of the top ten shows are breakthrough 2-in-1 reality show Your Moment (24.9 percent), weekend magazine program Rated K: Handa Na Ba Kayo (23.8 percent), sitcom Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet (23.1 percent), and the award-winning drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (22 percent).

ABS-CBN also emerged triumphant in all time blocks in November. In the primetime block (6:00 p.m. to 12:00 mn), it logged 44 percent share, beating GMA’s 30 percent. For the afternoon block (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), ABS-CBN got 43 percent, compared to GMA’s 33 percent; 40 percent in the noontime block (12:00 nn to 3:00 p.m.), versus GMA’s 31 percent, and 38 percent in the morning block (6:00 a.m. to 12:00 nn), in contrast to GMA’s 25 percent.

 Likewise, the Kapamilya network was also victorious in Metro Manila in November as it recorded 40 percent share, beating GMA’s 26 percent. In Mega Manila, ABS-CBN also got 34 percent, while GMA only clinched 31 percent.

 In Total Luzon, ABS-CBN got 38 percent, versus GMA’s 32 percent. It also won in Total Visayas with 52 percent, in contrast to GMA’s 23 percent, as well as in Total Mindanao with 47 percent, trailing GMA’s 28 percent.

 Multinational audience measurement provider Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100 percent of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
