Tayabas, Rosario batches add to ranks of KSK graduates

Tayabas, Quezon—The number of SM Foundation Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’ Training Program graduates continues to increase, as batch 204 ended their 12-week training program here and the graduates look forward to forming an association to sustain what they learned in crop cultivation.

Members of batch 204 are optimistic they too can become entrepreneurs, like previous graduates of this livelihood training program institutionalized by the late SM founder Henry Sy Sr.

Their objective of forming an association is supported by project partners namely: Tayabas Parish of St. Michael the Archangel Basilica Minor Social Action Center and the City Government of Tayabas.

Other partners for this batch included the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, Harbest Agribusiness Corp., SM City Lucena, SM Markets, and SM City Lucena Cinema, which served as venue for the graduation ceremony.

In Rosario, Cavite, Batch 207 of 88 KSK trainees harvested their crops in a harvest festival preceding the graduation ceremony.

The harvest festival was attended by representatives of SM Foundation, SM group of companies, project partners and Hon. Nestor Llanosa, Barangay Chairman of Sitio Silangan Bonita, who delivered the welcome remarks.
