Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday launched the “Ugnayan sa Pasig” center in accordance with the city’s Freedom of Information ordinance.
The center will allow Pasigueños to ask about projects by the city government or raise various complaints, from garbage collection to arrogant city hall employees, GMA News reported.
Residents wanting information about a certain city project will only have to wait 10 minutes, the report said.
On Sunday, Sotto revealed in a Facebook post that P1.4 billion worth of supplies and equipment in Pasig are yet to be accounted for.
He said the current administration is not blaming anyone “but we are merely looking for the inventory.”
During Monday’s flag-raising ceremony, Sotto also announced that the city’s street sweepers will now have to work for five days only, instead of six.
The mayor added he is poised to dismiss several traffic enforcers within the week due to various complaints of abuses.
