Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya—A sports fest, a zumba dance workshop, a fun run and bike and a gift giving activity highlighted the 121st founding anniversary celebration of the Department of Public Works and Highways 1st Nueva Vizcaya District Engineering Office.
Management and members and officers of the DPWH’s workers’ union led the 3-day celebration carrying the theme “Gabay Tungo sa Konkretong Pag-Unlad.”
“We thanked all the employees for their hard work and perseverance, which for the district office has resulted in various recognitions and awards for its outstanding role in the progressive development of the district’s area of responsibility,” said Engineer Oscar Gumiran, DPWH 1st DEO district engineer.
A Blood-Letting Drive was also conducted in coordination with Philippine Red Cross which resulted to the collection of 22 bags of various blood types.
Gumiran said the blood bags will be reserved for the agency’s Blood Account to ensure the availability of blood for the needy employees and their immediate families.
