PLDT Inc. senior vice president and group controller and Smart chief finance officer Chaye Cabal-Revilla was named CFO of the Year for the Telecoms Sector by CMO Asia at the Philippine Leadership Awards on June 7 at Dusit Thani Manila.
The prestigious Philippine Leadership Awards is organized by CMO Asia, a global community established in 2010 that recognizes top C-executives and professionals and their outstanding contributions in various industries.
The CFO of the Year award is given to exceptional leaders who demonstrate leadership excellence by developing innovative financial processes and help transform their organization and its financial performance through strategic directions and management.
“PLDT and Smart have always set the bar through our industry-leading initiatives to spearhead digital transformation,” Cabal-Revilla said.

As CFO, Cabal-Revilla championed the digital transformation of PLDT and Smart by streamlining and standardizing its finance practices.
She has spearheaded many of the company’s business modernization and transformation initiatives and supported the simplification and development of best practice business processes within the organization that delivered connected data and intelligence for on-time data-driven decisions, analytics, fraud and revenue management.
As one of the youngest and most successful finance executives in the Philippines, Cabal-Revilla has received multiple awards and citations for her exemplary work in the telco industry. She is also a strong advocate for education and is widely recognized for her volunteer work as chairperson for Gabay Guro, PLDT-Smart Foundation’s advocacy program for teachers.
