Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes has just added the Philippines to his arena and Asia tour as announced by concert promoter MMI LIVE. 

The much-awaited return of “Treat You Better” and “Mercy” singer is happening on Oct. 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena in support of self-titled album released in 2018. 

Now 20, the Canadian hitmaker released his third studio album, which follows 2015’s Handwritten and 2016’s Illuminate. In My Blood” was released as the self-titled album’s lead followed by  “Lost in Japan,” “Youth,” which features American singer Khalid, “Where Were You in the Morning?” and “Nervous.”

Shawn Mendes is returning to Manila in October for a one-night concert in support of his third studio album launched late last year. 

 The album debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart as well as multiple additional worldwide markets, including Australia, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Holland and shot to no. 1 on iTunes in more than 80 countries immediately upon release. 

The album became one of the top best-selling album debuts of 2018 and made Shawn the third youngest solo artist to ever have three consecutive #1 albums.

Worldwide, he has sold over 15 million albums, 100 million singles, and has amassed over 20 billion song streams and five billion YouTube views. Shawn has completed two sold-out world tours with over one million tickets sold, selling out legendary stadiums and arenas including NYC’s Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena in minutes.

On his upcoming tour, Shawn Mendes: The Tour, he sold out his first ever stadium show in minutes at Rogers Centre in his hometown of Toronto. The tour began in March 2019, with over 100 dates currently announced across the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand, with more to be announced soon.

He topped Billboard’s “21 Under 21” in 2017 and 2018 and has been featured on Forbes “30 Under 30,” Spotify’s “25 Under 25,” and Time Magazine’s “Time 100 Most Influential”. 

In February 2018, ROI Influencer Media recognized Shawn as the #1 Most Influential Artist and #1 Most Influential Teen across all social media platforms. 

Kicking off on October 1, Shawn will hit Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Macao, and Tokyo. The entire World Tour spans more than 100 dates throughout 2019 in North America, Latin America, Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand & Asia.

Online ticket reservation to the general public started on May 4 via mmilive.com and redemption was scheduled on May 10 to 12 at any SM Tickets outlets. For those who purchase tickets, Ticketless VIP Upgrades will be available to the general public at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17th.
