Ending with a stare down that was literally years in the making, Game of Thrones kicked off its final season on Monday morning in the Philippines.
The wait is over for the fans of the Emmy-winning fantasy series as the premiere episode of the final season aired on Monday on HBO and its online streaming service HBO GO on SKY.
The epic start of the highly-talked about series was telecast on HBO (ch 54 SD | 168 HD) in Metro Manila and (ch 402 SD | 710 HD) in regional areas, and on HBO GO at the same time as the U.S. airing.
In the first episode, Jon Snow has returned to Winterfell with Daenerys after they called a truce with Cersei in the season seven finale.

But all eyes are on who will take the Iron Throne in the end.
