Automotive company Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc.  achieved another milestone as it won the 2018 Regional Distributor of the Year award for Commercial Vehicles in the Asia-Pacific/Russia & Commonwealth of Independent States at the Hyundai Truck & Bus Regional Convention 2019 held in Cebu City recently.

The award represents HARI’s 2nd major CV award in as many years since being granted the sole distributorship of Hyundai Trucks and Buses in 2016.

No less than In Cheol Lee, Executive Vice President for Hyundai Motor Company’s (HMC) Commercial Vehicles Division presented the award to HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez- Agudo.

Ms. Perez-Agudo said, “It is with great pride that we accept this award from Hyundai Motor Company. To be recognized as Regional Distributor of the Year after only two years in the commercial vehicle (CV) business is a testament to how driven and dedicated we are to become the Filipino’s trusted partner to success.”

HARI bested 25 other regional distributors to earn top honors. Other Asia-Pacific/Russia & CIS commercial vehicle distributors were cited for their performance, including the General Group of Myanmar, Hyundai Motor Ukraine, and Hyundai Commercial Vehicles Thailand.

This milestone award follows HARI’s considerable success in the commercial vehicle business despite a challenging environment. The company also won the 2017 Regional Excellence Award for Asia & Pacific for its rapid growth and unparalleled brand loyalty. Other awards include the 2018 Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for CV After Sales and the 2018 Best in CV After Sales Operation. HARI also brought home the gold in the 1st Hyundai Truck and Bus World Skill Olympics held last October 2018 in South Korea.

“HARI has become a top global performer in commercial vehicles underscored by numerous awards. We aim to sustain our excellence as we draw inspiration from our growing number of customers who prefer and trust the Hyundai brand for their CV needs,” Ms. Perez-Agudo added.

HARI’s strong CV sales performance over the last year has reinvigorated its growth trajectory. Total sales of Hyundai Trucks and Buses in February 2019 grew 119.5% year-on-year, while year-to-date sales in the first two months of 2019 grew 113.9%. The success of Hyundai Trucks & Buses in the Philippines is based on their world-class quality, versatility, and cost-efficiency.

Perez-Agudo ended, “We see Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Philippines supporting and driving the national infrastructure program, Build Build Build.”
