Floyd a no-show at presser

Oops, Floyd Mayweather did it again.

The retired American boxer, known for his spotless 50-0 record, was a no-show in a scheduled press conference at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday.

Mayweather also skipped a presser when he visited Manila last year as he headed straight for Davao City.

This time around, scribes waited for more than eight hours for Mayweather, who decided to deviate from his itinerary, visiting places and malls in Makati City on Tuesday.

Members of the working media started their wait at 3 p.m.

When he did finally arrive at his hotel at around 11 p.m., Mayweather never even bothered to take a peek at the Grand Bar lounge to meet up with the tired and weary scribes.

Instead, he chose to quietly go to his room and never said a word about his plans to meet with up with his waiting guests, according to the RWM staff.

That’s when Resorts World Manila Corporate Communications Director Joee Guilas informed waiting scribes that Mayweather won’t be coming anymore.

Before he retired for the night, he left RWM’s numerous drivers and chauffeurs and other hotel staff happy by having selfies with those who were on and off duty in the evening.

During his afternoon trip to Makati City, he spent an entire afternoon having a skin-tightening treatment with a well-known dermatological doctor.

In what looked an endorsement activity, Mayweather got a Thermage procedure before he was introduced as the newest endorser of the Belo Medical Group in Makati.

After that, Mayweather went to buy some clothes and shoes at the Greenbelt malls.

On his way back to the hotel, he decided on a whim to try out chicken inasal somewhere at the Mall of Asia Arena.
