Learning is now more fun in Navotas following the city government’s distribution of 225 50-inch smart TVs to the city’s public elementary and high schools.

This was in addition to the 320 smart TVs distributed to public schools in 2018.

“Students learn more if they enjoy what they do. Putting TVs inside our classrooms will not only make teaching easier and more convenient; it will also make learning more interesting and enjoyable,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.

Previously, the city government gave 70 laptops to public elementary and high school teachers in Navotas to help promote the use of information and communications technology in class.

The teachers attended a seminar on how to integrate ICT in teaching and create 7-to-10-minute capsulized lesson videos.

Furthermore, the city provided local schools with a total of 24 air-condition units and 1,874 electric fans.

“We intend to provide our students with the best learning environment they can have,” Tiangco said.
