Arceegee 3-on-3 tournament set

Pinoy Youth Dreamers, the most successful youth basketball program, and Arceegee, the fast-growing sportswear provider, are teaming up to hold a major 3-on-3 tournament starting Sept. 22.

To be known as Arceegee X PYD Tatluhan Showcase, the four-part tournament will be held in Pasig, Quezon Province, Bulacan and Malabon with the aim of discovering young and talented players and providing them with the necessary training and exposure.

The overall champion will earn the right to represent the country in the Dreamers International 3on3 Basketball Challenge scheduled Nov. 2 to 4 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

“This is a good opportunity for our young players to hone their skills and train with the best while geting the chance to play against their foreign counterparts,” said Rinbert Galarde of Arceegee.

“Arceegee is very happy to work with PYD and coach Beaujing Acot, for working with us in this 3-on-3 tournament, “ said Galarde,  a well-known supporter of basketball in Makati and Malabon.

The complete schedule:

Manila leg-Venue: Barangay San Antonio Pasig City, Sept. 22. Contact person: Coach Vengie Gabales (0998-9620294).

Quezon Province leg-Venue: Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel Lucban, Quezon. Sept. 23. Contact: Chicoy Capistrano.

Bulacan leg-Venue: Villa Desta Basketball Covered Court, Brgy. Atlag, Malolos Bulacan,  Sept. 29. Contact: Coach Mel Arcena (0906-3564625), Coach Mark Domingo (0915-1231873).

Malabon leg-Venue: Barangay Tonsuya Basketball Court, Malabon, Oct. 6. Contact: Coach Okkin Cartago (0945-8443086.

The tournament is open only to players  18 tears old and below. Each team is allowed a maximum of four players only.

Tournament fee is P3,000, inclusive of freebies from Arceegee Sportswear and other PYD partners.

The champion in each leg will receive trophies and certificates.

The overall champion will represent the country in the Dreamers League in Vietnam all expenses paid.
