Although he is one of the rising stars in today’s generation of actors, Arjo Atayde’s path to stardom wasn’t an easy one. He also had to start from the ground playing supporting characters.

It was not surprising though, that in a short period of time, Arjo was able to make a name for himself garnering several starring roles and even winning an award. He won “Best Male New TV Personality” in the 2012 PMPC Star Awards for Television for his performance in a Maalala Mo Kaya episode.

In 2013, he starred as Rafael de Lara in the daytime television series Dugong Buhay. Then, he went on to star in the 2014 local adaptation of Pure Love. A year later, he was given his biggest role to date as Joaquin Tuazon, the main antagonist in Ang Probinsyano.

Actor Arjo Atayde is the celebrity endorser of The Origin Series,  BeauteDerm's latest fragrance collection for men.

Arjo is definitely a diligent actor, not to mention a versatile one. Now, after taking his talent to a new level, which made way to bigger opportunities on and off screen, the 27-year-old actor is thinking of taking a short break from showbiz. He wanted to review his career graph after subsequent projects.

“Imagine, I was taping for Ang Probinsyano for two and a half years then came Hanggang Saan, which lasted for five months. I just wanted to recharge. That would give me time to concentrate on the new movie I’m shooting,” he explains.

So, the break he’s asking for doesn’t mean he’s going to be out of the limelight completely. He just wanted some ample time (at least two months) to prepare because he believes actors should study their characters well if they are open to experimenting with diverse roles.

This is the very same reason why by Rhea Anicoche-Tan of BeauteDerm took Arjo’s service as their company’s endorser.  The actor now headlines the brand’s new line of perfume called, “The Origin Series.”

“I’m happy to be part of the Beautederm family. My mom (Sylvia Sanchez) is also one of its original endorsers so I’m glad I was hand-picked to be its latest model,” he says.

According to him each perfume scent that he endorses is carefully crafted and mixed with imported oils from France to ensure a long-lasting effect. He further says that Beautederm is a local brand from Angeles, Pampanga founded in 2009. It started as a small family business that sells whitening soap and lotion, facial care kits, and other bleaching items.

“Unlike other perfumes, it’s light, non-sticky and doesn’t leave a stain on your clothes, with skin-friendly composition, the promise of long-lasting scents are still fulfilled,” he ends.
