More veteran players who are currently seeing action for clubs abroad will be available.

Philippine Azkals nation al men’s football Team Manager Dan Palami said this after he called for support for their  upcoming matches of the national team on March 22 and March 27, 2018 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

Fil-British goalie Neil Etheridge, playing out of Cardiff City, will be there, along with Ian Ramsay and Misagh Bahadoran.

Ramsay is with Felda United of Malaysia, while Bahadoran is coming in from Perak FA, also of Malaysia.

“We should also be proud of our national team players who are doing well internationally in their various clubs,” said Palami.

The Azkals are getting ready for a March 22 game against Fiji, which will be a friendly.

This will serve as a tune-up game for the crucial Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup 2019 qualifier match on March 27, 2018.

Palami said that the Tajikistan game is an important match for the country.

“The cards are not exactly stacked against us.  We are currently  on top of the table of Group F with 9 points,” added Palami.

A win or we draw will move the Azkals to the next level, and  into the tournament proper of the AFC Asian Cup for the first time.

Tajikistan is currently ranked 124th, while the Philippines is currently ranked 122nd, in its latest rankings by FIFA, while Fiji is currently ranked 168th.
