FIX THOSE LIFTS! A delegation of executives and officials of IFE Elevators Co. Ltd. from China blew into town recently. The delegates — all 147 of them — came from the IFE China headquarters in Dongguan. They visited the LRT2 station in Recto, Manila, one of local railway system’s busiest stations. IFE Elevators Philippines was awarded the project to rehabilitate the defective elevators and escalators within the LRT 2 system, which stretches from Santolan in Pasig to Recto Avenue in Manila. The rehabilitation was completed in September last year, providing convenience and safety to the more than 200,000 passengers that use the system daily. The delegates greeted hundreds of passengers riding the IFE elevators and escalators. They also met with LRTA officials who gave the delegates a short tour of the station. Aside from the LRT2, other major projects for IFE Elevators Philippines include the Diliman Doctors Hospital along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.  IFE elevators and escalators are likewise present in establishments in Cebu such as the BAI Hotel Grand Tower and the Apple One Residences. IFE products can also be seen at the Chinatown Center in Valencia Street, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
