Marian Rivera arrives at the GMA Network Center as she continues her journey as a Kapuso signing another exclusive contract.

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera talked about what her fans can expect from her this year when she renewed her exclusive contract with GMA Network, Inc. on Feb. 5.

Talking to some members of the entertainment press, the prized Kapuso star made a list of the projects that she plans to include in her 2018 itinerary.

“I’m thinking of doing a film this year. I also want to do an indie movie, ‘yung pang Cinemalaya. I want to try something that I haven’t done before,” she said.

She added that it’s unlikely for Dingdong Dantes to be her leading man due to the fact that they see each other every day. Hence, she is entertaining the idea of being paired with any other Kapuso male celebrities.

But asked if she could work with other stars in the rival network, like what her husband has already been doing, the candid Marian remarked in vernacular, “If they want to work with me, then they should be the one to come over here.”

Marian, who has been a Kapuso for more than a decade, feels happy and fulfilled with her renewal of contract with GMA 7. Her career started in 2005 when she appeared in various soap operas and movies, both in the small and big screens.

In 2007, she became a household name when she bagged the title role of the top-rating Philippine adaptation of Marimar opposite Dingdong. Apart from her iconic roles in numerous television series, Marian also displayed her versatility when she hosted her own dance show and at the same time, headlined a roster of talk and variety shows in her home network.

The popular Kapuso actress is also one of the country’s trusted endorsers and in demand cover girls. She continues to be an inspiration to her fans and supporters with her charity works and advocacy that is why GMA top guns were delighted when the actress renewed her contract.

“Si Marian ay isa sa pinakamaganda at pinakamagaling na artista sa Pilipinas ngayon. Kaya nagagalak kami na kasama na naman natin siya at sa tingin ko, malayo pa ang mararating ni Marian at talagang tutulungan natin siyang marating yung sukdulan ng kanyang career,” GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon said during Marian’s contract renewal signing.

Meanwhile, All Access To Artists President Rams David, who was also in attendance during Marian’s contract signing, said he is very excited about this new milestone in Marian’s career as a Kapuso, “Masayang-masaya kami. Ang GMA 7 ang siyang nag-alaga sa kanya from the very start hanggang ngayon na mayroon na siyang pamilya at anak and she is still doing her best na maging worthy na maging Kapuso star and GMA’s Primetime Queen.”

Upon hearing all the good words from the big bosses, Marian retorted, “Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa GMA dahil sobra sobra yung tiwala nila sa akin. Nagpakasal, nagkaanak ako, binibigyan pa rin ako ng magagandang proyekto.  Of course, looking forward ako sa mga gagawin pa namin this year.”
