‘Wildflower’ is ending, finally

Maja Salvador as the feisty Lily Cruz in ‘Wildflower’

The production team behind ABS-CBN’s Wildflower decided to put an end to the teleserye’s repetitious plot, dialogues and yes, even the seemingly cat and dog chasing scenes of the main protagonists and antagonists. “Nakakaumay,” as the Tagalog word would aptly say it.

Maja Salvador’s soap has long ago reached its climax and yet it’s success made the people running the show continue it even if there are no more angles to delve on, thus making the whole thing boring and a waste of time.

No question about its main stars doing their jobs excellently, but the televiewers deserve more than those “acting na acting” style, don’t we?

Can we therefore expect Coco Martin’s Ang Probinsyano do the same as again, the story angles it presents were already done and shown repeatedly?

And aggghhh….those lines about Cardo promising to give justice to those killed by enemies had been a dozen times used, said and delivered, as if, it has become now the “mantra” of their loyal televiewers.

Hello dear writers and directors?

*****

My good friend who is a top rank officer at the Philippine National Police called my attention about another top rating show from ABS-CBN,

Nico Antonio as SPO1 Romeo Colmenares in ‘The Good Son’

that is The Good Son.

Says he, “Friend, can you please express our sentiments to those who run the show to do a deeper research on police matters especially in solving crimes? It appears to us that like the movies before, portrayals of police are made a laughing matter in their stories? Masyadong old school.”

Apparently, The Good Son talks about finding and giving justice to a crime committed in a very, very dramatic and yet full of conflicts way.

Is somebody reading this uh?

Joshua Garcia was among the showbiz names we asked from our tarot and fung shui expert-guest who proclaimed him as this year’s biggest star in showbiz.

But, there is a condition and that is, if he will continue to be sober with his feelings, err romantic emotions with Julia Barretto.

Accordingly, his aura and the movement of his stars as per his zodiac sign and elements, all have one direction and that is super success.

“Only that he needs to know how to control his feelings because he seems to be a very, very emotional person especially when it comes to his lovelife. Madali siyang ma-fall at masaktan and if that happens, nawawala sa tamang direksyon ang mga galaw niya,” related fung shui expert Willy Go, when he guested and read stars at our Chismax program at DZMM teleradyo last Sunday.

Well, same source claimed that even Julia is destined to reach a higher ground on her career, again, if she learns to manage matter of her heart.

Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid

We have but praises to Regine Velasquez-Alcasid for bravely admitting that as she used to be the most famous pop star in the country, she now considers herself, “Madalang na. Pawala na talaga.”

This she answered when asked: “What if the time comes that nobody gets her in concerts/shows or no one gives her a recording deal?”

Regine is called the “Asia’s Songbird” and really is a music industry’s gem and icon, but she admits to preparing for the time when newbies enjoy her reign and be marked as the next big thing.

“That’s the way of life. That’s how it goes. I think I have long prepared for that and I must admit, nararanasan ko na iyan. But the better way to accept it is to still continue what I do best and enjoy it. Because I believe that for as long as there are people who want my music, who listen to them and appreciate and sing them, I will still be here. Yun nga lang, at this point of my life talaga, na-discover kong buo na ako dahil sa family ko,” explains she.

In a rare moment, Regine is joining husband Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera and Erik Santos, in a pre-Valentine show called #paMORE at the SM MOA on Feb. 10.

“This is our Valentine offering for the Millenials who love music,” adds she.
