MANDAUE CITY—FPG Insurance, the major player in the general insurance industry and leader in motor insurance coverage, celebrated with Grab Philippines’ thanksgiving event for partner drivers last Nov. 26 at the J Centre Convention Hall in Cebu.
‘TY Ka-Grab Pamaskong Handog’ was Grab’s way of giving thanks to the contributions of its members to the transportation landscape in Cebu. The event was well-attended by over 1,200 drivers, together with their spouses and children transforming the atmosphere of the convention hall into a family bonding time.
DJ Jackie Gonzales and DJ KimYat CutieGat from ABS-CBN MOR 97.1 Cebu hosted the program.
Lots of fun and surprises awaited the excited drivers with novelty games such as ‘Bring Me’ and ‘Grab Kwarta o Kahon,’ where lucky winner Manuel Bautro took home the jackpot prize of P20,000 pesos cash.
“Out of the 20 players, hindi ko inakala na mananalo ako. Pero bago pa ako nanalo, nagpa-quote na ako sa FPG Insurance. Dito ko gusto gastahin ang napanalunan ko,” said Bautro when asked where he will be spending his winning.
Brian Cu, Grab Philippines’ Country Head, also introduced a new top-up system which can conveniently help its members on their everyday ply. Grab had previously mounted the same thanksgiving event for its Metro Manila members at the Megatent place in Libis, Quezon City last Nov. 19. The event was well-received by over 9,000 drivers and their guests.
“We would like to empower our Grab drivers especially since most of them have looked upon the TNVS service as their bread and butter. Most Grab drivers fear of being denied of an insurance claim because they use their vehicles for hire. Arga.
