More than 2,000 public school students from North Cotabato will soon benefit from the recent rewiring initiative and computer donation that are aimed at nurturing the communities’ growth potential despite social unrest in the region.

AboitizPower and Aboitiz Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Education-Kidapawan Division and Cotabato Electrical Cooperative (Cotelco), rewired and installed new electrical lines in Kisante Elementary School and donated computers to Antipas Central Elementary School”•a known school for indigenous people.

The rewiring assistance, which will benefit 800 students in the school in the outskirts of Makilala, North Cotabato, will resolve electrical reliability issues, Aboitiz officials said.

Meanwhile, computers were donated to the Antipas Central Elementary, located in Antipas, North Cotabato. This project benefits the school’s 1,400 students, who are mostly indigenous people and hopes to enhance the school’s K-12 capability in terms of computer literacy.

These initiatives are part of the Aboitiz Group’s strategy of co-creating communities that are safe, empowered, and sustainable through the implementation of various education programs.
