This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

They are all rescued cats, shares Pearl Erasmo-Martinez.
"You should see the cats of my friend Aya Daisa Babela. They are 20 in all and they are all rescued! She used to come to work with a cat in her bag kasi nakita nya sa may paradahan ng shuttle. She once went outside our office while it was raining because she heard a stray cat crying. She rescued the cat too," says Pearl.
HARRY POTTER, a dog with a white streak on his forehead, was given to Althea Prudente when he was four months old. He is now nine years old and the alpha in the pack of four dogs.
"He is my number 1 loyalist. So spoiled too!" says Althea.
MHIN changed Wenna Redaniel Tapican forever and in very a good way.
“I'm a dog lover and indifferent to cats until Mhin appeared in front of our house three years ago. I fed him once with my dog leftover. Then he became a constant visitor, “ Wenna recalls.
She adds, “I fell in love with his fluffy furs and fierce eyes. He bit me twice and I was sent to the hospital for anti-rabies shot. The incident did not stop me from trying to understand his wild nature.”
When Wenna’s dog , nine-year-old Chin, got sick, Mhin became her companion. Sadly, Chin died.
“In a way, Mhin help me to survived the pain . Now, Mhin has his own space in our home and I ensure his pork liver and cat food are in our grocery list. He now has a new buddy, Rain. I love them all.” Says Wenna.
