Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque took train rides today.

His trips this morning lasted for about an hour and a half.

He first boarded the Metro Rail Transit – 3 (MRT-3) train from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City.

Then he took a second trip via Light Rail Transit – 1 (LRT-1) from Taft Avenue in Pasay City to the Central Station in Arroceros, Ermita, Manila.

Roque took the rides after the rush hours.

He said he did not want his party, including news teams, to occupy an entire train coach as regular commuters would criticize this kind of action.

Roque said his experience was realistic enough.

MRT-3 was crowded when he stepped inside a train car.

There were less passengers at the LRT-1 train.

The trains worked properly during the time Roque was commuting.

The air conditioning systems were also functioning.

He was supposed to ride with Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary Cesar Chacez but the latter suddenly announced that he was resigning from his post.
