The Bistro Group of Restaurants, a company behind some of the most successful international and local restaurant brands, is now offering entrepreneurs and businessmen an opportunity to share in its success with the sub-franchising of four of its concepts.

The move is a part of the company’s growth strategy as it continues to show a strong performance in the local food industry with over 70 restaurants nationwide.

From its diverse portfolio of 17 lucrative global and homegrown dining concepts, which include TGI Fridays, Italiannis, Fish & Co., Denny’s, Texas Roadhouse, Baker & Cook, Plank Sourdough Pizza and Village Tavern, The Bistro Group is now opening Bulgogi Brothers, Baker & Cook, Ka Tunying’s Café and Fish & Co to those who are looking to foray into food business.

The unique opportunity comes with the company’s extensive experience and expertise in running and managing restaurants.

“Franchising is an ideal business model to grow a business and expand its reach,” said Jean Paul Manuud, president and chief operating officer of The Bistro Group. “When we open the above concepts to franchisees, we share with them our proven formula or recipe for success.  We advise them and guide them through the different areas of restaurant operations –  from site and design, marketing and menu, culinary and beverage, operations, accounting, supply chain, systems, procedures and best practices,” he said.

“Franchising is also one of the best ways for aspiring entrepreneurs to become business owners,” said Manuud.

The Bistro Group will  open locations in key cities in Metro Manila, as well as other parts of Luzon for the four concepts.

Bulgogi Brothers is a South Korean restaurant that teamed up with The Bistro Group to open its first international branch in Manila in 2011.  It offers traditional and classic Korean cuisine like barbecued meats and  steaks.

Baker & Cook, meanwhile, is Singapore’s only true artisan bakery and food store chain. It is the brainchild of Global Baker Dean Brettschneider who has had more than 25 years of experience, and has authored 12 best-selling baking books.  It is ripe for expansion, showing tremendous growth since opening its very first branch in the country early this year.

Home of the best fish and chips in town, Fish & Co. is one of the earlier brands introduced by The Bistro Group  in the local food scene. A concept that originated in Singapore, its solid reputation hinges on really good food made with fresh ingredients.

Ka Tunying’s Café is a concept hatched by veteran broadcast journalist and TV host Anthony Taberna. The place offers an innovative spin to traditional Filipino dishes. It traces its roots from the Taberna family’s humble and run-of-the-mill ‘panaderya’ in Nueva Ecija.  This bakery, located inside the restaurant, remains an integral part of the café.

The Bistro Group attributes the success of its brands to the passion and commitment that the management and staff put in every restaurant concept it launches.

“This is the same level of commitment we will give to our franchisees, where we can bring in our expertise in restaurant management and our reputation in the industry for innovation and warmth of service. With franchising, we aim to bring these four brands closer to more Filipinos,” said Manuud.
