She loves cats. Her aunt hates animals.

She can not bring home animals in her aunt's house but she could not ignore this one cat.

Shoosha Badiola was biking on her way to the grocery store in Paranaque when she heard a cat crying under a car. She stopped and watched the cat as he lay there, seemingly calling to everyone who passed by.

She noticed he was healthy and looked well so she continued biking to get to the grocery and told herself, "I would check on you later."

Shoosha hurriedly brought home her grocery items, then went back to where she saw the cat.

But he was gone.

She looked for him in the area and called out as one would call a cat's attention. She suddenly heard cats making noises as if poised to fight.

Then she saw him.

There he was inside a house where she saw a lot of cats. She knew a fight was about to ensue.

"All I wanted to do was to stop the fight. I went inside and took the cat, "Shoosha says.

When she turned to go back to the gate, the cat now in her arms, someone from the house came out.

"I was shocked and scared that she might get mad. Then I said ‘Hi, sorry, pumasok na ako. Nag-aaway na kasi sila,”  she  recalls.

She was relieved when the woman said, “ It’s okay. “ It turned out the cat was a stray who went inside the woman’s house.

Despite her aunt’s dislike for animals, she brought home the cat. She named him Snow.

“He is very sweet and gentle. He meows at me while eating.,” She describes Snow.

On that first day, she noticed that there seemed to be something different about him. His two front paws are not fully developed.

“I thought maybe he was born that way, and I almost cried thinking how he survived in his condition when he was a kitten.  Then I thought, ‘Well, he is one amazing cat!’” Shoosha says.

She fell in love with him the moment she saw his condition.  For like him, she felt she too needed to be saved at that time. And he became her “rescuer.”

“It's like we were meant to see each other, “ Shoosha says.

Shoosa suffered form anxiety attacks then.  She kept this from friends and loved ones. She felt alone then, staying inside the house and crying a lot to keep her secret, and having to handle the anxiety attacks on her own.

“I kept it a secret because I was sacred that they might avoid me. Later, I would find out that I was wrong. They loved me even more,” Shoosha says.

But while she kept things to herself,  Snow was there for her.

“Every time I cried, he was there. He meows at me  as if he was talking to me and saying, ‘It's okay, I'm here,’"  Shoosha recalls.

She adds: ”He helped me with my anxiety attacks. Every time I had an attack, he was there. We spend a lot of time together and we sleep together.  Even if he keeps peeing on my bed, It's fine with me because I love him. I promised him that we will be together for a long time. I won't give up on him.”

Today, Shoosha is free from anxiety attacks.

“I am amazed that a cat helped me cope with  the attacks. I  was’nt and am not alone anymore. I am happy. I can smile now and not be scared about what might happen. “ Shoosha shares.

"He saved me just I like I saved him. We saved each other,“ she adds.
