Ex-sweethearts Lovi, Rocco remain friends

According to Lovi Poe, even if her relationship with former flame Rocco Nacino has ended, they are able to maintain their friendship.

“Yes, that’s what’s good and important,” she says. “We’re okay. Despite the fact that we’ve called it quits, we still managed to become good friends. No bad blood whatsoever.”

Since they broke up in mid-2016, they moved on with their respective lives. Rocco found another love in the person of fellow Kapuso talent Arianne Bautista although it was short-lived. On her part, the dusky actress is romantically involved right now with Filipino-French businessman Chris Johnson

“But honestly, I don’t have any idea what’s going on with Rocco’s life now. As for me, I’m generally happy with my life at present. There are times when things don’t turn out the way I want but at the end of the day, I’m happy. I can’t ask for more.”

With regards to her new love life, Lovi doesn’t want to elaborate much on Chris.

“It’s something that I want to keep to myself. I want this part of my life to be private.”

It appears she has learned from her high-profile love affairs in the past so she wants it low-key now.

“Not really. Maybe I just came to a point when I want a little privacy for my love life specially that the other person is not from showbiz.”

In another development, the acclaimed Kapuso star has a new movie titled Woke Up like This opposite Vhong Navarro.

“Yes, under Regal Entertainment, it is directed by Joel Ferrer. I’m excited to have reunited with Vhong on the big screen after five years. Our last screen outing together was an episode from Shake, Rattle & Roll in 2012. I hope the viewers will support our latest offering,” ends Lovi.

Ian Veneracion admits his elation over Sharon Cuneta’s being vocal in saying that she wants to work with him in a silver screen project in the coming days. In her recent interviews, the Megastar has only good words for the A Love to Last male lead citing his professionalism and cool work attitude.

“Yes and I’m flattered and grateful for her kind words,” states Ian. “Actually, it started when I became one of her guests in her recent concert in California. I flew there on the actual day of the concert and travelled back to Manila the following day. She noticed that.

“But of course, that’s a commitment I had to fulfill. I didn’t realize that the schedule would be that tight. For me, when it’s still physically possible, go! She really appreciated it and told me personally.”

According to the handsome actor, the said concert meant a lot to him.

“They just didn’t know how big and important the exposure I got from that concert. For one, it was the first time that I would perform before a huge audience. There I was with my guitar and Mr. Louie Ocampo was backing me up with strings and of course, my duet with her. It’s simply, ‘Wow!’ It was truly one unforgettable experience.”

If ever he and Sharon will be paired in a movie together in the near future, Ian welcomes the idea with open arms.

“As I’ve said earlier, it’s flattering to know that. Everybody knows that she’s so fun and light to work with. I’ll be honored to do a project with her if ever,” he avers.
