A furry birthday celebration

Train your children in the way they should go and they will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

I am honored to have met parents—Rhodora and Dennis Lao—who have been living this reminder. They have trained their children well.

With daughters Shannen and Sabine, they decided to celebrate their birthdays in a unique, love-powered way: They visited 56 rescued dogs and cats of Save Animals of Love and Light (Save ALL) in three small homes, carried and hugged them, and gave them treats.

They also donated food, medicine, soap, and shampoo for the 11 rescued animals who are still in the clinic and for the 56 rescues in the homes.

Sabine turned 14 last Aug. 18, Shannen turned 18 last July 26, and Rhodora celebrated her birthday last July 10.

A happy, happy birthday to Dennis who is celebrating his birthday today.

Dennis looked for most of the items in the wish list of Save ALL, a task that we believe is a great service to the Lord because one is helping His helpless but loving creations—the dogs and cats.

Sabine gives a treat to Pandora, a mama dog who would have been put to sleep with her six 10-day old pups in a pound last year.

We are delighted that there are parents like Rhodora and Dennis, and kids like Sabine and Shannen who are compassionate towards animals, specially to those in need who were pulled out from illness-ridden pounds, from the streets where they were hit by vehicles or are dying of an illness or hunger, and from abusive owners.

We thank them and bless them.

The more people understand that dogs and cats have feelings and ask only for kindness, the more our world will be wrapped in a positive energy—that thing called Love—that heals us all.

Cassie, a beagle who was bred till she was four years old, has discovered the joys of being held and kissed.
Sabine meets Santi, the odd-eyed kitten who was thrown in a trash bin when he was only a few weeks old together with his brother Seb.

We are glad that the young are now joining hands with older folks in creating a better place for animals. May their number increase.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone! Namaste!
