The Golden Rooster Foundation Inc., led by chairperson Monica Prieto-Teodoro, donated P1,000,000 to the Armed Forces of the Philippines for the benefit of the children of AFP casualties of the Marawi siege. The event was held in Malacañan Palace before President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The Golden Rooster Foundation was established by Mrs. Teodoro, a former Tarlac representative who was responsible for the creation of the standing committee on the welfare of children in the 14th Congress, to pursue initiatives promoting children's welfare and to assist children who are abused, displaced, or orphaned. As a legislator Mrs. Teodoro was credited for having the most numerous child welfare bills passed into law and for the creation of the Amor Village in Anao, Tarlac, a center for abandoned children rated number 1 in the country by the DSWD.
