Coron hideaway

Two Seasons Hotel and Resorts recently opened the Coron Bayside  Hotel. Built on a 1500 sqm. land amid a  palette of greens and blues,  limestone silhouettes and languid waters,  the establishment  is the only boutique hotel of its kind around town – both in class and architecture.  Marine motifs occupy several nooks in the property, and the ground floor is replete with underwater inspirations including antique diving helmets, and a 1.8-ton anchor. Jellyfish, which is one of the two common species in Coron, were reimagined into lighting fixtures strewn around the hotel’s main restaurant.  Murillo of Cebu was engaged to customize the  décor. Wood furnishings and accents, like the hardwood trellis ceiling of BAYA Resto, add an organic feel to the hotel. All wood furniture were custom-made by Sason Shop in Bacolod. The hotel has 48 rooms, most of which offer a sweeping view of the Coron Bay seen through glass walls (See photo).
