Five members of a family were murdered by a still unidentified suspect inside their home in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victims of the Carlos clan as Auring Dizon, 53; Estrella Dizon Carlos, 35; Donny Carlos, 11; Ella Carlos, 7; and Dexter Carlos Jr., one year old, all residing at Block 1, Lot 8 of the North Ridge Royal Subdivision in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
The head of the family—Dexter Carlos Jr., a security guard—was not around when his loved ones were killed. The women were also suspected to be raped by the perpetrator sometime Monday night, investigators said.
Supt. Fitz Macariola, Chief of Police of San Jose del Monte, said Dexter Sr. left their home for duty at a bank’s main office at 5 p.m. Monday. He only discovered the incident upon arriving home at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Upon alighting at their house’s gate, Dexter Sr. called on his family, but neither his children nor his wife responded. This prompted him to climb their steel gate and, peeping curiously from a small opening on their window, saw his mother-in-law (Dizon) lying on the floor, lifeless and without her undergarments, the police chief said.
Macariola said when police responded to the crime scene, they discovered that Dizon was fully naked.
He added that after seeing his mother-in-law lifeless, Dexter Sr. went to the back door of their house and saw the lifeless body of her wife on the floor outside their house, naked and bearing stab wounds.
Dexter Sr. then went inside his house and discovered his three children were locked in the upper room, all lifeless from stab wounds, Macariola said. Scene of the Crime Operatives are still thoroughly investigating the crime scene, he added.
