KASIBU, Nueva Vizcaya—The Department of Labor and Employment recently gave more than P1.4 million in assistance to four livelihood organizations in this town to start their projects.

Engineer Joseph Sales, DoLE officer-in-charge here, said the recipients were the Malabing Literacy Credit Organization (MALCO), Watwat Abot Palad Association (WAPA), Lupa Ayangan Tribe Association (LATA) and the Lupa Ibaloi Tribe Association (LITA).

MALCO was given P430,000 to enhance their Citrus Wine Production, WAPA got P377,060 for their Root Crops Processing Project, and P650,000 will be shared by the LATA and LITA for their Agri-Farm Supply Project.

The livelihood funds were coursed through the local government unit as accredited co-partner of the DoLE and the recipients.

Sales said MALCO earlier received P50,000 in 2009 as livelihood formation fund and initial assistance for their Citrus Wine Production Project, with a total cost of P756,000.
