As a follow-up to a successful year and a profitable first quarter for Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI), the country’s “comeback kid” aims to continue its momentum by introducing a more luxurious and spacious Urvan.

A popular people mover in the domestic market, the Nissan Urvan Premium gives off a striking appearance starting from its V-shaped angle grille design with sharper headlamp clusters. The modern look of the Urvan is enhanced by the elimination of the side roof drip channel, as well as the rich surface expression around the wheel arches. This premium variant has a longer wheelbase, shorter overhand and taller structure for a more accommodating head room.

Urvan can accomodate 15 passengers.

“The past year has truly been phenomenal for the brand. We have beaten our sales record in March by selling 2,094 units, with our core vehicles such as the Navarra and the NV350 Urvan performing very well, thereby contributing to the strong sales figures of the company. The NV350 sold a total of 1,651 units, accounting for 31 percent of our sales for the first quarter of this year. We aim to continue our growth with the introduction of this new Premium version of the Urvan,” states Ramesh Narasimhan, President and Managing Director of NPI.

Designed with driver convenience and passenger comfort in mind, the Premium version is wider, longer measuring at 5,230mm and has a higher body with a height of 2285mm which means more head and leg room. It has four rows of seats in the rear cabin and is capable of accommodating 15 passengers with enough space for luggage and other personal effects. Adding a sense of class of tropical comfort are the suede-like tricot fabric which comes in gray, with a two-tone dashboard to compliment the interiors of the Premium Urvan.

Powered by a high torque 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine, the van also offers a list of safety features such as dual front airbags and seatbelts, load tensioning valve, ABS system, Brake assist, child safety locks, front fag lamps and an innovative Door Closure Assist which allows passengers to close the massive side doors firmly without exerting extra effort. The van retails for P1,600,000 and comes in three exterior colors, Alpine White, Black Obsidian and Tiger Eye Brown. The new Premium Urvan will hit showrooms nationwide starting June this year.
