Storm expected to enter the Philippines tonight

Weather bureau PAGASA has spotted a storm heading towards the Philippines.

The tropical depression has been located 1,540 kilometers east of Mindanao.

It is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at this time.

The weather system packs maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kph (kilometers per hour) near the center and gustiness of up to 60 kph.

The storm is moving in west northwest direction.

PAGASA says, it may enter PAR this evening or tomorrow morning (Tuesday).

Once the storm enters the country, it will be named “Dante.”
