According to Lotlot de Leon, she has no ill feelings towards Elmo Magalona, her daughter Janine Gutierrez’s boyfriend for two years before he moved to the Kapamilya Network where he became very busy and is said to be one of the main causes for their split-up.

“There’s no bad blood whatsoever between us, that’s for sure. It was between him and Janine. Definitely, I’m out of the picture so I’m okay with Elmo,” says Lotlot.

Many say that it’s a very nice gesture from the actress considering that her daughter got broken-hearted with the break-up.

“Well, let’s just say that I see things in a different perspective. I believe that something good came out of their split-up. I believe it had to happen for Janine to grow as a person, same with Elmo. It’s for their maturity. I hope they still remain friends. I can only wish Elmo the best.”

Lotlot understands that perhaps, Janine and Elmo are not really meant for each other.

“That’s true! For one, they’re still both young to be that serious in love. One thing more, they are focused in their respective career. Well, life is like that.

“I don’t have anything bad to say against Elmo. He’s a nice lad. He was part of the family. We loved him during that time when he and Janine were still together. As I’ve said earlier, maybe their relationship was not meant to be. It’s better to just leave it at that, right?”

The Destined to be Yours mainstay is confident of her daughter Janine despite everything that she’s gone through.

“She’s a bright lass. I respect and support whatever decision she makes in life. I’m proud that so far, she makes the right choices,” avers Lotlot.

Her career is also on the upswing at present. She stars in the upcoming film “1st Sem” where she plays the role of a mother to three boys played by newcomers Darwin Yu, Michael Bagtas and Sebastian Vargas.

“Somehow, I was able to relate to the role. My character Precy is a single mom so I had to relive all the stages in my life when I’ve gone through a similar experience. It wasn’t really difficult but also brought back painful memories along the way.”

Lotlot is proud of the project because it’s critically acclaimed and has won for her top acting plums in the recent All Lights India International Film Festival.

“I’m grateful because my work was recognized in the international scene. I hope our local viewers will appreciate this coming-of-age comedy drama which touches on so many emotions about communication and family,” she states.

Iza Calzado reveals her plan of settling down in three years’ time. Since her boyfriend is British (Ben Wintle), many ask if she will be ready to give up her acting career in case she will eventually live abroad.

“I might come home here in the Philippines from time to time to do projects. I can also take classes there. You know, I’m open to everything. You don’t know where life will take you so whatever is given to you, make the most of it,” she avers.

The award-winning actress assures though that wherever she goes, acting will always be there.

“I simply love this craft. I’d like to perform, to be around people. I enjoy the entertainment industry so much. So, I will always find an opportunity to act.”

Is the possible even if she were already old?

“Yes! I can see myself doing acting stuff until such period. As long as there are good offers,” ends Iza.
