EX-BOXER Caloy “Bad Boy” Baduria is no stranger to facing much bigger opponents in the mixed martial arts cage.

Most of those he battled, from wrestlers to bodybuilders, fell victim to his heavy hands.

Tonight won’t be any different as he returns to the cage opposite 6’3’’ behemoth Mansa Musa Conteh at Casino Filipino Pavilion in the Battle Extreme Tournament of Superstars [B.E.T.S.2] in Manila.

BETS is a partnership between Casino Filipino and the longest-running MMA organization in Asia, the Universal Reality Combat Championship, headed by Alvin Aguilar, recognized as the frontrunner of MMA in this part of the world.

Conteh, an American giant fighting out of Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand, replaced Baduria’s original opponent, Askar Mozharov of Ukraine, who backed out of the highly anticipated match for an unspecified reason.

Baduria of Elorde MMA has a 10-5-1 win-loss-draw record and is coming off a first-round demolition  of compatriot Jess Dan dela Pena  in the inaugural B.E.T.S. held last January 28.

According to Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation AVP for entertainment and sports Jimmy Bondoc, the highly successful maiden staging encouraged them to continue offering top-rate MMA entertainment to casino patrons and guests.

“With the outcome of first part of BETS, we realized how far  the MMA has come  to the consciousness of local fight fans and how entertaining it is for our patrons  and guests to witness a live action-packed event. For this reason,we didn’t think twice holding it again at CF Pavilion,” Bondoc said.

Serving as a co-main event in B.E.T.S. 2 is the battle between Jiar ‘The Twister” Castillo of Hitman MMA and Alvin ‘Kastigo Ramirez of Yaw-Yan Buhawi.

Other featured matches in the 10-card competitions pit Sem ‘The Beast Becaldo of Top Gym against Ivan Rodley Vidtorio of Yaw Yan Olongapo; Bryle Ozaraga (Cage Dipolog CityDefTAC) against Dave Bnagguigui (Fight Corps); Lucky Mateo (FC MMA) vs. Marc Bernard Navarro (Team Fight Republic) ,Don Tagalog (The Den Fitness) vs. Jeff Hermida (Yaw-Yan Buhawi); Miguel Gomez (Triton Fight Center) vs. Min Hoo Kim (TOP Gym BF); Donald Adam (Camp Vallega) vs. Arnel ‘The Notorious Lampacan (Subsports Philippines) and Dunlee Stewart (Team Gapo) vs. John ‘Outlaw Andajar (Hitman MMA).
