Among the Colgate Scholarship Promo 2018 scholars are Noria, a 15-year-old student from Bulacan, Amari, a three-year-old child from Cagayan, and Julianna, a 12-year-old student from Binangonan, Rizal.

Meanwhile, Jojo Calapuan, who lives in Cebu City, and Sidney Lanete from Davao City were awarded the scholarship money for their children’s education.

“The Colgate Scholarship Promo is part of our company’s commitment to give everyone a ‘future they can smile about’ by providing financial support to Filipino families and assisting them in the educational needs of young students, who will become the future scientists, doctors, teachers, lawyers, engineers of this country,” said Arvind Sachdev, general manager of Colgate-Palmolive Philippines Inc., who led the formal awarding of the prizes to the scholars.

In the culminating event, Colgate gathered some of the winners from Luzon for an awarding ceremony and a day full of fun and exciting activities at The Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City. The scholars and their families explored the amazing exhibits at the museum and were treated to a spectacular Science Show to inspire the children to keep on learning and aim for a brighter future.

Also present at the event were a few of the 2016 and 2017 winners of the Colgate Scholarship Promo.

Masaya po ako na nanalo ako ng scholarship mula sa Colgate (I am happy that I won a scholarship grant from Colgate),” said 11-year-old Vince, Colgate Scholarship Promo 2016 scholar. “Mas ginanahan po akong pumasok sa paaralan para abutin ang pangarap kong maging pulis balang-araw (I became more excited to go to school in order to achieve my dream of becoming a policeman someday).”

This year’s Colgate Scholarship Promo received approximately 174,000 entries, registering its highest number of entries per day in the promo’s three-year run. Aside from the grand prize of P100,000, Colgate also gave away P500 National Book Store gift certificates to 500 winners and P15 prepaid load to 5,000 winners.
