Actor and singer-songwriter James Reid believes photography is a messy art. He emphasizes that it is more about improving one’s skills and finding one’s style than immediately getting high-quality tools.

James Reid considers photography as a tool to express and recreate.

“You should be experimental [and] really mess around with it, because a lot of people just go for the camera [and] just buy it,” he said.

Reid considers photography as a tool for creation, where one can express and recreate. He said it was his girlfriend, Nadine Lustre, who influenced him to get into videography and then to photography.

Fujifilm’s latest camera, X-T100 is the ideal gizmo for Reid’s spontaneous lifestyle and photo and video needs. It weighs at 448gm with an anonized coated aluminum top cover. It sports a powerful 24.2-megapixel APS-C size sensor, which is 14 times bigger than the sensor of an average smartphone.

Fujifilm X-T100 offers 11 variations of the brand’s unique Film Simulation Modes and 17 variations of Advanced Filters, thus levelling up the ante of photos and videos.

The rather tiny mirrorless camera is compatible with Fujifilm’s X Mount lens range, including the latest small and light electronic zoom lens, the XC15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ.

Coinciding with the launch of the new camera under the X series, Fujifilm Philippines has also introduced new ambassadors, namely Marco Gumabao, Gil Cuerva, Klea Pineda, Lharby Policarpio, Baninay Bautista, Aura Azarcon, Matt Nicolai, Jesi Corcuera, Benedict Cua, Sebastian Castro, Aryanna Epperson, Rhea Bue, Deegee Razon, Kerwin King, Patricia Prieto, Reese Lansangan, and Renee Dominique.

Reid and friends take a ‘groupfie’ using Fujifilm’s latest X-T100 mirrorless camera.

Gumabao shared his experience handling the X-T100. “Ngayon lang ako nakahawak ng unit na talagang for professional photography, so the challenge for me was how fast I can adapt (It is my first time to use a unit that can be used for professional photography, so the challenge for me was how fast I can adapt).”
