10-step Korean skin care regimen in three products

Korean skin care is known for its multistep regimen, which, while is thorough and beneficial, could be very tedious.

Althea, one-stop online shop for Korean beauty and skin care products, strips down the exhaustive 10-step routine to three quick and easy steps with the launch of its first skin care line.

Bare Essentials is Althea’s first foray into skin care production. It is composed of three hybrid products, the Contour Cleanser (P300), the Primer Water (P550), and the Fixer Cream (P640) which are all made of clean, minimal, yet effective formulas—providing the same benefits of a 10-step skin care routine.

“We wanted to go back to the basics and really strip it all down to give customers the most fundamental steps,” said Althea’s head of brand Hyeyoung Park.

Citing data collected over three years, Park said a solid Korean skin care routine all boils down to three essential steps: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. “All the other additional steps added to your routine are just that—additional.”

The Bare Essentials skin care line is composed of (from left) Primer Water, Contour Cleanser, and Fixer Cream, which when used together provide the same benefits of a 10-step skin care regimen.
The Contour Cleanser harnesses the power of soothing Ice Plant and detoxifying Lemon Myrtle extracts, in addition to the microcapsules that burst upon contact with water, to help exfoliate and detoxify skin. This cleanser also helps promote blood circulation, reducing bloating and swelling for a defined and slim face shape.

Meanwhile, the Primer Water is a hydrating toner and primer in one. It contains patented dewdrop technology that gently fills the gaps between pores and allows hydration to penetrate deep within the layers of the skin. Made with Snow Lotus extract, it has a smooth and silky texure that enhances skin’s natural glow.

Finally, the Fixer Crean a non-oily, quick-absorbing cream made with Trehalose, an ingredient found in cactus plant that prevents moisture loss to provide 24-hour skin hydration. It is also rich in antioxidants derived from Camellia sinensis (green tea) seed oil and Baobab Tree extracts. The skin feels bouncy to the touch upon application of this wonder cream.

And much like how the line highlights minimalism, each product under the Bare Essentials is packed in a simple, clean packaging.

Althea is giving out an additional 10 percent off and a free special edition mirror to those who will purchase these products at today.
