Officials of AXA led by group chief operating officer Astrid Stange and chief executive officer of Asian Markets Gordon Watson, together with executives from the Asia region, were on hand during the recent inauguration of the leading global insurer’s shared services center in Manila.

French Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Nicolas Galey, was present to take part in the festivities.

This new shared services center, together with the one in Malaysia, is envisioned to be the IT hub for AXA in Asia, and later to Japan. They will eventually stand as central hubs of actuarial expertise, serving as centers of excellence in areas of actuarial product pricing and valuation, providing guidance to the Asia entities in improving processes and services.
