Aside from my birthday, today is one day of the year when I feel like royalty. My children treat me extra special and say the kindest, the most lovable, and the sweetest words any human would delight in. So, today, I just relax, and allow them to run my life, and enjoy the perks of being the family patriarch. Meantime, let’s take a look at how some properties in our accommodations industry celebrate this day:
My favorite hotel by the bay has prepared something special for today’s celebration for fathers. At the Brasserie on 3, Chef Daniel Patterson has whipped up a de luxe buffet of Filipino specialties, premium meat carvings, and fresh seafood, indeed fit for a king! At China Blue by Jeremy Leung, fathers may enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine which includes golden roast US Duck with barbecue gravy.
Ongoing at the hotel’s Gallery 3 is Lizanne Uychaco’s Of Art and Wine: Heaven and Earth exhibit of mixed media masterpieces, rooted in Oriental art, highlighting her modern interpretation of symbols of longevity, prosperity and happiness. Her artworks are positive portrayals of harmony among heaven, nature, and humanity. Often minimalist, yet rich in texture, her artistic style banners her ancient beliefs rendered in modern mixed media.
Uychaco’s exhibit runs until August 11, 2019 and is a highlight event of Conrad Manila’s 3rd anniversary, which is celebrated this month, and of Hilton Hotels’ 100 years.

The Nostalgia Lounge and Bar, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant on the 6th floor, honors fathers with a special gift today: they may avail of the extensive spread of international dishes, including a special meat carving, for free, if accompanied by three other full-paying customers.
This hotel, which is known for delivering seamless service to its guests, has just built a second tower, adding more guest rooms, food and beverage facilities, and function rooms for up to 400 persons, to cater to its continuously increasing clientele.
Its new 200-seater Misto restaurant, which opened in time for today’s celebration, offers a special deal for its lunch and dinner buffet. For every group of four full-paying customers, the fourth person gets to eat for free. The meal costs P1,200 inclusive of taxes and service charge.

WIFE: I have a bag full of used clothing I’d like to donate.
HUSBAND: Why don’t you just throw it in the trash? That’s much easier.
WIFE: But there are poor starving people who can fit into these clothes.
HUSBAND: Honey, anyone who fits into your clothes is NOT starving.
A big whack was heard, and the husband is still recuperating from a massive head injury.
