Pack light and keep your stuff safe
Lee Abbamonte, the youngest American to visit every country in the world, told The Boston Globe to “pack half the clothes and twice the money you think you need.” To do this, when packing, lay every piece of clothing you are planning to bring, and put half of them in your bag, leave the rest.
Traveling with less baggage means less money spent on checked luggage and less risk of anything important being stolen. Multiple heavy bags could also weigh you down as you go to your next destination. Choose a sturdy and secure bag that will carry your things and protect them from being loss or stolen.

Be a local, not a tourist

Go for cheaper options

Walk or bike instead of taking a cab or renting a car. Aside from seeing your surroundings up close, you could also squeeze in exercise while you’re at it. But if you’re going to farther destinations, take the bus or train instead.

Lastly, don’t be afraid. If you want to do it and you have enough money, do it. It’s the best time to explore the world while you still have the strength and fewer responsibilities. Abbamonte said, “You can learn more in one year of traveling than in 18 years of school,” so, go and learn about your world and yourself.
