In a neon industrial-themed bar jam-packed with celebrities and society personalities dressed in retro street OOTDs, Nadine Lustre stood out.
The 25-year-old multimedia star and style influencer was recently introduced as the first-ever Filipina ambassador of American footwear brand Skechers during the launch of D’Lites—the chunky sneakers popular in the ‘90s.
Lustre is known for her fierce personality, oozing confidence, and always-trending style and swagger. Her love for fashion—most specifically streetwear style—and affinity for sneakers, dance, and music make her and Skechers a match made in heaven.
Both Lustre and Skechers continuously evolve while staying true to their personalities.
Skechers D’Lites is made even better than its predecessor. It now sports an updated edgy silhouette, a surprisingly light construction, and an added memory foam cushioning on the insole. Skechers is one of the first brands to revive its original chunky sneaker.
As the brand’s first Filipina ambassador, Lustre joins Skechers’ international roster of endorsers such as pop singer Camila Cabello, TV personality Brook Burke-Charvet, and K-pop artist ZICO.
“I’m extremely happy to be the newest Skechers ambassador alongside other global stars. This is an exciting new chapter in my career so I’m delighted to share the good news!” enthused Lustre.
She added, “The Skechers team and I have been working on the campaign for D’Lites which I am personally proud of. D’Lites is a true heritage style from Skechers that combines retro design, street attitude, and comfort. It’s a sneaker that is exactly my style.”
Lustre’s reel and real-life partner, singer-songwriter James Reid came to support and hang out.

Other guests also showed up in their best streetwear swag as they partied the night away. In between dancing to the beats of DJ Ace Ramos and some drinks, everyone took the chance to take snaps and stories of the heritage Skechers D’Lites collection that was on display.
