Feed your skin with oatmeal

If we want a filling meal that’s also healthy, we are told to eat a bowl of oatmeal. And if we want nourished and moisturized skin, we only need to apply the same cereal to our body.

Not the one that we eat, though, but the variant that is grounded into an extremely fine powder called colloidal oatmeal.

Colloidal oatmeal contains a rich mixture of skin transforming components found in whole oat grains. It contains five vital nutrients: proteins, anti-oxidant, vitamins, polysaccharides and lipids that relieve the skin from dryness and provide overall protection from itch and irritation.

Long-time Aveeno users triathlete Jaymie Pizzaro, actress Nikki Gil and swimmer Christine Jacob-Sandejas are named Aveeno ambassadors in the Philippines

“Colloidal oatmeal is nature’s best moisturizer,” posits Johnson & Johnson Associate Director for Scientific Affair Menas Kizoulis.

The benefits of oats to the skin have been discovered thousands of years ago, and Aveeno has been harnessing this all-natural ingredient for over 70 years.

Aveeno combines colloidal oatmeal with breakthrough science to deliver skincare solutions that effectively clean, moisturize and protect skin—whatever the skin type. The Daily Moisturizing Lotion variant provides up to 24 hours of long-lasting moisture with one application, reason it is the no. 1 body lotion formula sold in the US—one sold every three seconds.

Even TV host and champion swimmer Christine Jacob-Sandejas swears by the brand.

“I have freckles and tan lines due to the amount of time I was under the sun while swimming, but I don’t want them to hinder my life because I love the sun. When I was in the States, I found Aveeno which is very gentle and very hydrating—it just worked well with me,” relates Christine.

Filipino patrons of Aveeno need not hoard this brand in the US. The brand is now available in the Philippines.

“After 10 months of waiting for the brand to come to the Philippines, Aveeno is finally here!” exclaims J&J Philippines Assistant Brand Manager for Beauty Patricia Villasenor.

Together with Christine, J&J Philippines tapped other long-time Aveeno users, actress Nikki Gil-Albert and triathlete Jaymie Pizzaro, to share inspiring skin stories.

Being in an industry that puts a premium on physical appearance, Nikki shares having dry skin made her feel insecure and less confident about herself. She says she goes through great lengths to make sure her skin is well taken cared of.

“I’ve always known that natural ingredients can do wonders to the skin but not in the same way Aveeno’s Active Natural ingredients can. With Aveeno, I am confident that I can keep on pursuing my passions and inspire other people to do the same without having to worry about dry skin ever again,” shares Nikki.

Jaymie, on the other hand, had to contend herself with common skin problems as she trains for competitions. “Believe me, the signs are not hard to miss: dark tan, chafing, heat rash, sunburn, you name it,” she says.

But after everything her skin has been through, Jaymie says she currently enjoys healthy and naturally beautiful skin thanks to Aveeno.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Body Wash, and Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion and Body Wash are now available in all leading supermarkets and drugstores nationwide. Visit www.aveeno.com.ph for more information.
