Samsung QLED 8K introduces a new kind of picture quality with its Quantum Processor 8K, which can produce unparalleled detail and depth in images—almost true-to-life.

Over the years, the demand for shinier, bigger, smarter TV has grown stronger that manufacturers bent on keeping a hold of the market continuously roll out shinier, bigger, smarter TVs.

Since its entry into the television business 13 years ago, Samsung has been changing the field.

“Over the years, what we watch, when we watch, and how we watch have changed. And Samsung has been pushing the boundaries for quality and innovation,” said Lauro Guevara, head of product marketing for TV and audio at Samsung Philippines.

A few years ago, the South Korean tech giant introduced quantum dot LCD TV—which it branded SUHD and later renamed QLED. It addressed changing consumer expectations with seamless connectivity, smart capabilities, and cutting-edge design “that looks beautiful in any space.”

As the market opts for larger screens, as Guevara reported that “in the last year, demand has doubled in the Philippines for ultra large TV (75 inches, that is),” Samsung has finally brought to the country its “best TV yet,” the QLED 8K TV.

“We want you to experience Samsung’s greatest offering to Filipino homes,” enthused James Jung, president of Samsung Philippines. “The QLED 8K TV is a giant leap into a world of incredible picture quality and adaptive intelligence technology, showing details so refined that you feel right into the center of each scene.”

The brand achieved its real 8K resolution visuals thanks to its Quantum Processor 8K, which it said can produce unparalleled detail and depth in images seen on large screens boasting over 33 million pixels, and four times the resolution of 4K UHD TVs.

“8K resolution results in true-to-life images—you can see up to intricate details of a raindrop,” said Mahir Al-Rubah, product marketing manager for audio.

Its AI Upscaling technology automatically enhances people, objects, textures, and colors, depicting scenes of films and shows as close to perfect reality, or exactly as their directors intended.

In addition, the AI Upscaling function can transform any content resolution, from any source, to 8K quality. This means, any content from any source—a streaming service, cable TV, USB, HDMI, or screen mirroring—will immediately be detected and “upscaled.”

“With its Direct Full Array Technology, the color is crisper and better contrast than QLED 4K,” added Al-Rubah.

Viewers can sit back and relax as the unit also comes with Bixby on TV, which takes care of searching through channels and selecting content for solo or family movie nights at home. Accessing Bixby also enables viewers to control their TV settings, check on weather updates, search and navigate the Internet, and accomplish dozens of other tasks.

Another fun feature is the Magic Screen function that lets one convert their QLED TV into wall art, or even part of the wall, when not in use—making it a truly great and versatile centerpiece.

Samsung QLED 8K TV comes in 75, 82, and 98 inches.
