This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

KEIRA, almost one year old, is a rescued furbaby.
“Unlike other felines, she dreads being cuddled for a long time and would rather play alone and enjoy her ‘me’ time, “ says owner Franchesca Phoenix.
Franchesca adds: “Aloof kitty that she is, when she needs a good rub, Keira finds her way to me.”
Francesca also says “Her fave past time is eating and grooming her brother, Jagger.”
