My Furry Bestie
DAL was given his unusual, cute name by the grandfather of owner Marielle Alday when he first came into their lives. He is now 15 years old. “His mom is a half-labrador and half-dalmatian. His dad is a dachshund. Dal’s head and tail are as big as a lab, his body is like that of a dachshund, and his coat looks like the coat of a dalmatian,” Marielle says. She adds: “He is pretty heavy at 45 kilos. He used to weigh 51 kilos but he had a health issue last year and lost weight. The vet found out he has an enlarged heart and we had to put him on a diet.” But Marielle says,”Today, Dal is a healthy baby boy and a real goofball. He is super malambing (sweet), very mabait (good) and I love him so so much!”
