A leading global appliance company has showed its love to mothers with washing machine donations that aim to help ease their weekend workload.
Electrolux, together with CEVA Philippines, Gawad Kalinga, and GMA Kapuso Foundation, has delivered loads of love to moms by donating 200 washing machines.
During the Love You Loads turnover ceremony, Electrolux Philippines country marketing manager Andrea Soto-Pionilla said, “May is the time where we recognize and share our appreciation for mothers and all the hard work that they do.”
She emphasized that moms should have their well-deserved breaks on weekend instead of doing an extra load of washing.
The washing machines given to GMA Kapuso Foundation will go to Child Haus, Missionaries of Charity, and to the women dormitories and barracks of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Gawad Kalinga’s beneficiaries in Luzon will receive some of the donated washing machines. According to the nonprofit organization, this appliance is one of the greatest dreams of many mothers in unprivileged communities.
Tita Amy, a resident in a GK community, shared that washing machines are a big deal for mothers as it helps them with their work and allows them to have more time for their families.
“We are absolutely delighted to participate in this very worthwhile venture, to assist such two recognizable organizations as the Gawad Kalinga and GMA Kapuso Foundation communities,” said Mark Hoolahan, human resources director of North Asia cluster of CEVA.
Employees of Electrolux Philippines also participated in the program by creating cards for each washing machine, sharing a message of encouragement for the beneficiaries.
