Gerald Anderson, the Philippine delegate to the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, got emotional after receiving his medal for finishing the 42k run in 4 hours, 25 minutes, and 2 seconds.
“This is a goal that I really wanted to accomplish,” enthuses Gerald.
Crossing the finish line was a shining moment for Gerald, “Proud ako sa sarili ko na natapos ko, and nakarating ako sa finish line. Ang layo ng tinakbo namin. It’s really amazing.” He placed at 4,277th among the 18,867 finishers.
Gerald has been training since late last year for his very first marathon on March 19. He also has Skechers GORun Forza to thank for finishing his first marathon. “My Skechers GoRun was incredibly responsive and comfortable to use. It propelled me to the finish line,” he shares.
He adds, “Sobrang magaan ang shoes ko. They really helped me run far and strong.”
