The closing show, which is also the company’s post-Valentine presentation, will premiere on March 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the Aliw Theater, CCP Complex in Pasay City. Other performances are set on March 3,  9, and 10.

Deux will feature romantic dreamy ballet “Les Sylphides”—also known as “Chopiniana” in Russia—and Martine Lawrance’s “The Winding Road.”

Featuring the music of Polish composer Frederic Chopin and the lyrical choreography of Russian choreographer Michael Fokine, “Les Sylphides” is a dreamy romantic ballet that depicts a tale between a wood nymph and a young poet.

The title role will be played by Ballet Manila’s principal ballerina Joan Emery Sia, partnered by Elpidio Magat as the poet.

“Winding Road” will feature ballet dances choreographed by Lawrance to the tune of some of the popular tracks of The Beatles namely “She’s Leaving Home” and “Girl.” It aims to combine fast movements and defined showmanship to articulate the powerful image of the iconic rock band.
