For over the past two decades, Shangri-La Plaza has been a go-to for excellent entertainment, great food, and quality shopping options. Every year, for one special night, Shang gives thanks to their retail partners for helping them become and continue to be the metro’s premier lifestyle destination.
The 2017 Retail Partners’ Appreciation Night was a spectacular, star-studded event recently held at the luxury five-star Edsa Shangri-La. From hosts Angel Jacob and James Deakin and the talented performers down to the sumptuous dinner and grand set-up, Shang pulled all the stops to make sure their guests had a grand time.
To start off the program, Shangri-La Plaza Executive Vice President and General Manager Lala Fojas gave her thanks to the partners for their support and loyalty to Shang through the years. Soon after that, guests were treated to delicious food and amazing musical performances from the country’s most renowned talents.
Maestro Rodel Colmenar conducted the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra for their outstanding renditions of classic, Broadway and contemporary songs. The gifted youth of the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir serenaded the guests with their soulful sounds. The powerful vocals and upbeat tunes of singing group PrimVerra also took the stage. The performance everyone had been waiting for was that of Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez Alcasid. The legendary diva gave everyone a show they’re sure to remember.
Of course, the night was all about the tenant partners, and Shang made sure to give them the recognition they deserve. Awarded that night were the partners who have been with Shang from the early years. Plaques of appreciation were given to Florsheim, Wendy’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ambassador Appliance, LS Pascual, and Washington for their 25 years of loyalty, and to Besa’s Footwear and Bag Restore, Clinica Dentale De Manille, Holland Tulips and The Big Chill for their 20 years with Shang.
The night was ultimately a grand celebration of meaningful partnerships over the years, and a shared sentiment for great expectations in the years to come.
