‘Art 2 Art’ celebrates words and music

Art 2 Art, recently honored with a citation from the Catholic Mass Media Awards in the Best Educational Program category, celebrates words and music in its episodes this month.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company and hosted by “Ballerina ng Bayan” Lisa Macuja, Art 2 Art airs every Sunday, 3:30 to 4 p.m., on radio via DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), on cable television via RHTV (Ch. 129 on Skycable in Metro Manila, Ch. 18 on Cignal TV and Ch. 3 on Cablelink) and online livestreaming at http://dzrhnewstelevision.tv. The show may also be viewed through the Facebook account DZRH News Television.

On Nov. 12, baritone Andrew Fernando discusses the mission of the Klassical Music Foundation of which he is artistic director. Krissan Manikan Tan and Stephanie Aguilar discuss their experience as KMF scholars and also perform a classical number.

On Nov.19, bookologist, bookseller and book marketing expert Gwenn Galvez shares insights on literacy and trends in digital publishing and online book selling. Galvez represents Primetrade Asia, organizer of the annual Manila International Book Fair.

On Nov. 26, classical guitarist and composer Aaron Aguila relates his musical journey, including training under guitar masters, winning in competitions and releasing his own album soon. He cites the advantage of using social media to help establish a music career.
