Scan and win with SM City Fairview’s Q-Art Exhibit

Mallgoers had the rare opportunity to have a glimpse of an exciting interactive digital art format during the recent Q-Art exhibit at SM City Fairview. This is the first exhibit to feature different life size QR codes that could be scanned and would turn into different images of mall discounts, surprise videos, promos of dining tenants, discounts, exciting freebies with cool images and informative contents as well.

Mallgoers scan QR codes at SM City Fairview’s Q-Art Gallery

During the launch, the mall atrium was transformed into a gallery of QR codes, executed artistically in 3D cube boxes that are hanged in colorful frames. The QR code (Quick Response Code) is an image, which consists of black squares organized on a square grid using a white background which can be used for entertainment and commercial promotion. It can be processed and read using an imaging device or a QR scanner.

Participating winners claim their discounts and freebies

Shoppers were able to experience a whole new level of shopping and dining treats by scanning over a hundred of different QR codes located in different Q-Art installations found within the mall. They were able to avail and claim their discounts and freebies at their favorite participating mall tenants by showing a screenshot of their scanned QR code or image.
